Ranking ALL of the Colors: Part 1
From poopy brown to coquelicot, there are so many different colors. Some are pretty and pleasing to the eye, but some colors are gross and nasty. That’s why I’m going to rank them.
6. Baby Blue
Let’s start at number 6… baby blue! It looks good as paint, it looks nice on clothes, it’s overall a very solid color. I just think the other colors are more visually appealing, so that’s why it’s lame number six.
This is blue, like the sky. You can find this beautiful and amazing color here!
5. Burnt Orange
Baby blue is old news. Let’s move on. At number 5 we have… burnt orange! Maybe not many people can pull off wearing it, but burnt orange reminds me of leaves changing in autumn. What could be better than that? Lots of things, that’s besides the point.
It’s like orange… but burnt! You can find this cool and awesome color here.
4. Gamboge
Number 4 is one of my personal favorites, gamboge. It’s similar to sunflower yellow, but a little darker. Did you know I have a pair of gamboge colored shoes? They’re very nice.
This is gamboge. It’s pretty cool. You can find it here.
3. Mountbatten Pink
Alright, it’s number 3 time. In this slot we have… mountbatten pink! Mountbatten pink reminds me of pie, so obviously it’s high in my color ranking.
This is mountbatten pink. I think it looks more purple, though. You can find it here.
2. Teal
At number 2 we have… teal! I didn’t really like teal before writing this article, but it’s slowly grown on me. I mean, so many people love teal. There must be a reason for it.
This is teal. It’s a more green version. You can find it here.
1. Glaucous
For the grand finale, the number 1 color of all time, we have… glaucous. It’s purple-y, it’s blue-y, it’s amazing. We should all strive to be more like glaucous.
This is glaucous in all its glory. I love alliteration almost as much as I love glaucous. You can find it here.
I hope you enjoyed my article! Next week I’ll be rating my friends’ favorite colors. From poopy diarrhea green to dioxazine, there will be something there for everyone. Thanks for reading!
I love this article! I love yellow, and I have been trying to find that specific sunflower yellow. Now that you mention gamboge, I now know it is my favorite type of yellow! Thank you so much!
Gamboge is one of my favorite colors. I’m glad you like it too!
Half of these colors I have never heard of but Mountbatten Pink is so calming and nice it is now one of my favorites.
I’m glad you found a color you like here!
Mountbatten pink is definitely one of my favorites on this list. But for some reason whenever I look at it I want to eat pie.
Great article, Elliot! I think my favorite of all the colors you mentioned was Mountbatten Pink. I’m in the same boat of you for teal as well. I used to love it, and then I thought it to be somewhat overrated. The fact that it’s the signature color for one very questionable book character didn’t help either. But, after reading this article, I would say that teal is a rather pleasing color. Out of all of these, which color is your favorite?
It’s very overrated. But I have to admit, it’s growing on me. (Curse you Fitz.)
Great article! I found this type of article very interesting. Has glaucous always been your favorite color? What is your least favorite of all? (Not just on this list.)
Not exactly! My favorite colors have always been blue and yellow, but I didn’t find out about Glaucous until just recently. It’s my favorite now though! I’d have to say my least favorite color is neon yellow/green.
Hey Elliot, this is a very nice article. I’m wondering if you already knew the names of these colors or did they require additional research?
It required extensive amounts of research. My fingernails began to fall off because I was typing so much.
Just kidding. But yeah, it did. I found them all on a different websites that listed obscure colors.
Great job, Toilet. I like the originality of your topic. What are your views on turmeric yellow?
